The Office for Research & Graduate Education is pleased to announce the 2025 CFAES Research Forum and Poster Competition, to be held on Thursday, April 10, 2025.
We hope you will join us
The Research Forum and Poster Competition will provide an opportunity to emphasize the many successes of the research community in the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences.
The 2025 Research Forum Agenda
- The Research Forum will kickoff with Undergraduate Poster presentations (8:30-10:00am), followed by Graduate and Professional presentations (11:00-12:30pm). CFAES students, staff, and researchers are invited to come and mingle with one another. Bring your burning questions for our special guests, distinguished faculty in our college, and practice your elevator pitch to spark up collaborations. Coffee service will be provided. Judging will take place in the morning during each poster session.
- Following the poster session will be a networking luncheon (12:45-1:30pm) for our CFAES community. All are welcome!
- A keynote address will be given from 1:30-2:30pm on The Importance of Research Mentorship by Dr. Marcela Hernandez, Assistant Dean for Faculty Affairs and Recruitment in the College of Engineering.
- Dr. Gary Pierzynski, Associate Dean for Research and Graduate Education, will then share his remarks on the state of the CFAES Research Enterprise (2:30-3:00pm).
- The event will conclude with the announcement of the 2025 Poster Competition winners at approximately 3:00pm.
The event will be held on Thursday, April 10th from 8:30am - 3:30pm at the Nationwide & Ohio Farm Bureau 4-H Center. Lunch will be provided for those who register to attend. Bus transportation has been arranged from the CFAES Wooster Campus to the CFAES Columbus Campus for the event. There will be a space to indicate if you would like to take the bus on the registration form.
