Melissa Burant is a Grants and Contracts Specialist and the SEEDS Coordinator. She is your primary SEEDS contact for SEEDS related questions. Melissa has worked at the college for 7 years, previously holding a position as a program assistant for the OARDC Director's Office in Columbus. She has experience in writing/editing impact statements, preparing the annual NIFA Plan of Work and Report of Accomplishments, grant proposal preparation, budgeting, and general office management. She also previously coordinated the College’s “First Tuesdays” faculty development program and has assisted in organizing the Junior Faculty Development Conferences. Melissa is located in Columbus and will be supporting GDSU activities on both the Columbus and Wooster campuses.
Melissa received her B.A. from Ohio University in English Literature and Women’s and Gender Studies. She is a member of NCURA (National Council of University Research Administrators), SRAI (Society of Research Administrators International), and NORDP (National Organization of Research Development Professionals), and is currently involved with the CFAES Staff Advisory Council.
