Branden Ritter joined his team at CFAES in November 2022 as a Grants and Contracts Specialist in the Office for Research and Graduate Education. As a non-traditional student with research experience, he developed valuable skills in and out of the classroom that help him provide excellent support for principal investigators, making him a valuable resource for grant proposal development. He is a member of NCURA (National Council of University Research Administrators), SRAI (Society of Researcher Administrators International), and NORDP (National Organization of Research Development Professionals).
Branden earned his B.S. from The Ohio State University in 2019 in Environmental Science with a specialization in soil resources and environmental sustainability. He spent a year working in the Soil, Water, and Environmental Laboratory supporting the North American Project to Evaluate Soil Health Measurements run by the Soil Health Institute. He returned to OSU and earned his M.S. in May 2022 in Environmental Science, and conducted research on crop rotation systems and their effect on soil fungi and soil carbon stabilization.
