
Bobbie Bowling is a Grants and Contracts Management Senior Analyst for the CFAES Office for Research & Graduate Education, Grant Development Support Unit. She will manage and administer sponsored research for complex projects of large scope from initiation through closeout.
Throughout her career, Bobbie has held a variety of research and finance positions in federal and non-federal institutions of higher education. Prior to returning to OSU, she most recently served as the Assistant Vice President for Sponsored Programs Administration at Central State University, where her team helped sustain, manage, and build externally funded activities. She also served as the Director in the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs at the Air Force Institute of Technology, at Wright-Patterson AFB and was a member of the Special Emphasis Program working to remove barriers to equal employment opportunities.
Previously at OSU, Bobbie was the Associate Director of Business Operations for the Schoenbaum Family Center and Crane Center for Early Childhood Research and Policy. Her role encompassed organization and budgetary oversight, personnel management and pre- and post-award activities. Additionally, Bobbie has also held grant administration roles in the College of Education and Human Ecology and Comprehensive Cancer Center.
Bobbie holds an MBA from Ohio Dominican University and a Bachelor of Arts in Humanities from The Ohio State University. She is a Certified Research Administrator (CRA) and a member of both the National Council of University Research Administrators (NCURA) and the Society of Research Administrators International (SRAI).
