    Reproducible results define the very core of scientific integrity in modern research. Yet, legitimate concerns have been raised about the reproducibility of research findings, with important implications for the advancement of science and for public support. With statistical practice increasingly becoming an essential component of research efforts across the sciences, this talk highlights the compelling role of statistics in ensuring that research findings in the agricultural sciences are reproducible.

    Effective (and fundable) broader impacts are rarely a one-person effort. At some point you will need to establish strong partnerships to successfully plan and implement your broader impacts activities. This workshop is meant to build on concepts covered in BI 101, however, prior attendance at a BI 101 workshop is not required. Attendees will gain valuable insights into the process of finding the right BI partner, building relationships, and developing equitable partnerships. Potential BI partners within Ohio State and the Central Ohio community will be highlighted.

    This workshop will focus broadly on how people learn and effective communication strategies for a general audience. Participants will begin to identify core messages related to their research, and explore potential audiences for science communication initiatives.

    This webinar is designed for Ohio State faculty and grad/postgrad students participating in industry sponsored research collaborations. Participants will explore how to use existing university-industry relationships to identify company contacts; gather intelligence on current/past Ohio State industry partnerships; and navigate the industry-sponsored research process.
