    It’s time to begin our annual competition cycle to select proposals to advance for submission to the 2021 National Science Foundation (NSF) Major Research Instrumentation (MRI) grant program. To familiarize interested faculty with the MRI program, required cost-share, and the internal competition process/timeline Ohio State will use to select its applicants, the Research Development Office will host a briefing on Thursday, August 27th from 1:30 – 3 p.m. via ZOOM.

    The Office of Research and partners will offer an information session and ideas exchange from 1 to 2:30 p.m. May 13 via Zoom in response to two active or anticipated NSF funding opportunities: the Smart and Connected Communities and the Civic Innovation Challenge. The session will feature an overview of the funding opportunities and an opportunity for potential applicants to exchange ideas.     Researchers are always looking for new ways to share research findings or demonstrate impact. As of 2019, approximately 60% of the world’s population uses social media, making it a great way to interact with your audiences. However, not all social media messaging is created equal. This session focuses on introducing the LIFE model for storytelling (which stands for Learn, Interpret, Frame, and Engage).
