    Registration is now open for the Demystifying NIH interactive panel. This event is co-sponsored by the Colleges of Social Work and Education and Human Ecology. Doctoral students, postdoctoral fellows, and junior faculty are invited to join us for a panel discussion and breakout sessions with National Institutes of Health program officers to learn critical strategies for finding and securing NIH funding. Learn about the diversity of research funded by NIH and how your own research may fit! Meet officers from NIMH, NIDDK, NIMHD, NHLBI, NIDA, and NIAID.

    The Student Life Collegiate Recovery Community (CRC), in partnership with the Higher Education Center for Alcohol and Drug Misuse Prevention and Recovery (HECAOD), is excited to offer Recovery is Spoken Here trainings for faculty, staff and students. Our aim is to foster an environment where students in or seeking recovery feel accepted by their peers, are empowered to live genuinely, feel comfortable asking for help and are celebrated by the Ohio State community.

    Review of how to budget cost-sharing in proposals, gain approval from the department and college, and book cost-sharing after an award is made.     Although OHRP and FDA regulations are similar, differences exist based on FDA’s unique scope and requirements. The Office of Responsible Research Practices and the Center for Clinical and Translational Science are offering an FDA series. This second session will focus on research involving medical devices and the special considerations associated with obtaining IRB approval. By the end of the session, participants will be able to: • Explain common regulatory terms in the context of FDA-regulated device studies

    The third webinar in the series from the College of Education and Human Ecology features a new point of view from alumna April Peters-Hawkins, associate professor of educational leadership and policy studies, University of Houston. She will discuss how making research emancipatory and transparent can chisel away at structural oppression. Lori Patton-Davis, professor of higher education and student affairs, and Penny Pasque, professor and director of qualitative research in the college, will moderate.
